Creative Serging
Get your serger out of the box, out of the closet or off the shelf!!
This class is the 2nd in the Serger Series. This class is for those who are already familiar with your serger and/or have already taken the 1st class, serger Basics, OR am a confident serger user.
During this class, we are going to learn more serger techniques that will help you better your serger skills. We will build your confidence by learninf about your serger and what it can do besides the "basic" stitches. We will practice a lettuce edge, how to use the flat lock stitch and blanket stitch to enhance stitches. We will create an elastic casing, sew ribbon on a neckline and attach tape and/or elastic. We will also explore different weights of threads and how to use them in your serger to create some fun decorative stitches. We will then SERGE AHEAD and test our newfound skills by making a fun project using specialty threads!
