Series of Serger classes. This is for those who are already familiar with
your serger and have already taken my Serger Basics Class OR am a
confident Serger user.

confidence by learning about your serger and what it can do besides just
overcasting edges. In our first class we learned about some basic stitches,
basic skills and techniques.

do a lettuce edge, how to use a flat lock stitch for making some beautiful
effects, make a casing for elastic, sew ribbing on a neckline, attaching tape
or elastic. I will continue teaching more ways to use your serger in quilting
using the flatlock stitch to join binding scraps and piecing with your serger.
We will also explore different weight threads and how to use them in your
serger for some fun decorative uses. You will be making several samples to
create some binder pages for future reference. Then we will “serge ahead”
and test our newfound skills, by making a fun project using specialty
threads.
Very Important!!
Please make sure that your serger is able to stitch a 3-Thread rolled hem, a
3- thread overlock- narrow hem, 2-thread overlock, 3- Thread Flatlock, 2-
Thread Flatlock-Wide, and a ladder Stitch-Decorative Stitch. You will get
the most out of the class if your serger is able to do these stitches.
