Class Supply List
Class Dates: July 23 and 24, 2025 / 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Location: Quilter’s Quarters, Conroe, Texas

Class Supplies Needed: Sewing machine (¼” foot highly recommended)* Christmas Cookie Tree Skirt
Size 70 (Microtex sharp) sewing machine needles,
Thread – 50 wt high quality thread in neutral color, Purple Thang
Rotary Cutter (with both old and new blades), Seam Ripper,
Rotary Cutting Rulers (3” x 18” and 8½” x 24”), Scissors (fabric and paper), Add-A-Quarter rulers – 12” and 18”, *** Template plastic (fold template),
Rotary Mat (18” x 24” recommended), Curved Scissors,
Sewline washable fabric glue pen (fabric), Fabric glue pen refills (lots),
UHU or Elmer’s Disappearing Purple glue stick (paper), Extra Fine straight pins (sew), Repositionable Glue Stick,** Sharpie pen (medium),
Tweezers Roxanne’s Baste-It glue (small), * if your ¼“ foot has a guide on it, please replace that foot with a standard (no guide) ¼” foot
** to be provided at class *** the Curved Diamond Cutting and Trimming Ruler will be available in class for your use – you may or may not decide to purchase so try before you decide.
NOTE: The pattern is written to complete one 70” diameter quilt. There are options to expand the tree skirt to an 80” square quilt or King-sized quilt (see pages 22 – 26 in the instruction booklet). Our class goal will be to complete one (1) of each paper in class. Final assembly will be discussed and will depend on what you decide your final quilt size to be (tree skirt, 80” quilt, or King-sized quilt).
Pre-Class Preparation: Read pages 1 through 5 and cut the NP818 and TP 614 papers (see page 6). Collect your fabrics. We will start class with how to cut all our papers and fabrics. Study the “Evergreen Star” (a Lone Star) with attention to how you want your color to flow through the star. We will cut fabrics in class (so you do not OVER CUT what you need to complete your papers).
